We are committed to creating a safe environment to ensure the health, safety and welfare of all staff and visitors. We therefore reserve the right to refuse admission to certain rides and attractions should we feel there is a danger to a particular individual or individuals for reasons we feel compromise the safe use of that ride or attraction.

Amusement Park

We are committed to providing an accessible and inclusive experience for all. We recognise the importance of ensuring our attractions, services, and facilities are welcoming for everyone, including those with disabilities or additional needs. This policy outlines the support available to help all guests.

We are proud to partner with Nimbus Disability, who now process all essential companion wristbands eligibility through their access card scheme.

You will be able to submit a free application for a Dreamland Digital Access Pass (DAP), via Nimbus. As part of this, you will need to provide relevant evidence in order for Nimbus to allocate the symbols that represent the barriers you face. This lasts for 3 years, so once you have applied and it’s been approved, that’s it!

You will also have the option to upgrade to an Access Card which is £15 for 3 years and can be used at Dreamland as well and thousands of other events and venues around the UK and beyond!

To access these services, you must complete the application with Nimbus Disability at least 7 days before your visit. Nimbus will assess your needs based on the supporting documentation and information provided during the application process and determine your eligibility for a free Essential Companion Ticket.

To apply for a free Dreamland Nimbus Disability Access Card please follow the link: https://app.accesscard.online/apply/dreamland-margate/form/

If you already have a valid Nimbus Access Card or a Dreamland DAP with a “+1” or “+2” symbol, you simply need to present this to a member of our team at the Main Token Booth on the day of your visit, and the team will be happy to assist in providing you an Essential Companion Wristband.

Please be aware we no longer accept other forms of documentation for eligibility for Essential Companion Wristbands. All details will be handled securely by Nimbus Disability and any questions on eligibility must be discussed with them. For more information on the Nimbus Access Card or to get in contact with the processing team, please visit the Nimbus Disability website: https://www.accesscard.online/

Please note, the Essential Companion Scheme applies only to amusement park rides and attractions and does not extend to event tickets, extras, or group tickets currently. For further details or to discuss specific needs, guests are encouraged to contact Nimbus Disability directly for expert guidance.

EVENTS

Dreamland is a standing only venue, unless otherwise specified for individual events. It is important to review our FAQ’s and terms carefully before making the decision to purchase a ticket for one of our events. Dreamland cannot be held responsible for any damage or injury caused by attending an event that may not be suitable to individual disabilities or existing injuries. If you have any questions or concerns, please speak to a member of the Dreamland team or Dreamland’s authorised ticket provider, before purchasing tickets.

Dreamland has four main event areas, The Scenic Stage Arena, Hall by the Sea, The Ballroom and the Roller Room. All areas with the exception of the Scenic Stage Arena, are indoor venues.

All of Dreamland’s venues are accessible for wheelchairs. If you need assistance when visiting, then you’ll find members of the Dreamland Team on hand, and they will be happy to help.

There are accessible platforms available during events on the Scenic Stage and in Hall by The Sea, please note these areas are restricted by numbers and must be pre-booked.  Accessible tickets, both General Admission and Accessible Platform are only available through Dreamland’s website and our authorised ticket providers.

Dreamland offers two types of accessible ticket options. Accessible tickets are available on a first come, first served basis via Dreamland’s website and Dreamland’s authorised ticket providers only.

Accessible Ticket Definitions:
General Admission Accessible + Companion
This is a ticket giving access to the event general admission area. These tickets are sold in pairs but priced as one ticket. This means there is a complimentary ticket for a personal assistant or companion. These tickets do not give access to seating, or the accessible platform.

Accessible Platform + Companion
This is a ticket giving access to the accessible platform. These tickets are sold in pairs but priced as one ticket. This means there is a complimentary ticket for a personal assistant or companion or carer. There is space on the platform for wheelchairs and some seating is also provided.

When either accessible ticket option is purchased, the buyer will need to bring proof of eligibility with them to the event and show this to the team on entry. The forms of proof the team will be looking for are listed below:

A certified NHS letter from your doctor or consultant clearly stating why you are eligible for an accessible ticket.
A letter from a professional body (e.g. Nurse, Bupa Healthcare Advisor etc) clearly stating why you are eligible for an accessible ticket.
A DLA, DWP or PIP letter stating you are entitled to an accessible ticket.
A National Carer & Disability card or Nimbus Disability card.
Please note that Blue Badges are not accepted as proof of eligibility.

Outdoor Scenic Stage Arena

The Ballroom is accessible and is located on the ground floor of Dreamland.

Assistance Dogs are permitted providing there is sufficient documentation, and the assistance dog is trained and registered. Assistance Dogs are not permitted in ride queue lines or on rides. The Assistance Dog must remain with a party member and kept on a lead at all times.

Babies at Live Music Events
The majority of indoor and outdoor live music events at Dreamland have age restrictions. Parents and guardians are asked to carefully read the individual event information prior to booking tickets and consider if an event is suitable for the child they wish to bring. We cannot admit anyone caring for a baby at live music events that have an age restriction of 14+ or above.

We urge parents / guardians / carers to carefully consider the suitability of any live music event for the baby in their care.  Loud noise levels can affect babies hearing, as their ear canals are not fully developed, and they should not be subjected to levels over 60db.

Babies are welcome at events categorised as All Ages Welcome, but they must wear ear defenders and are not permitted in close proximity to stage areas.

Dreamland cannot permit prams, carriers, pushchairs, so babies must always be carried throughout their time in the venue. Babes in arms do not need a ticket, but tickets must be purchased for children aged 2 years and older.

Here are some things to consider if you are thinking about bringing a baby to an event at Dreamland:

  • Noise levels: Concerts can be very loud, and babies’ ear canals aren’t fully developed, making them more sensitive to noise. Babies shouldn’t be exposed to noise levels above 60 decibels. All of our live music events will exceed this level.
  • Other attendees: Make sure your child doesn’t disturb other people and is safe at all times.
  • Babies have ear protection.
  • Keep far away from the front of stage and, where possible, position yourself behind the mixing desk area.

Baby changing facilities are available in the various toilet facilities around the Dreamland site.  We do not offer bottle warming facilities or pram / buggy storage.

We want you to have a great time at Dreamland and will do all within our power to ensure a safe and pleasurable visit.
