Indie rock pioneers The Wombats and Razorlight join forces for a very special live show at Dreamland, with special guests rising indie trio Sunday (1994), and breakthrough alt-rock band Talk Show. As two of the most celebrated bands of the 2000s indie rock boom, they will bring their biggest hits and high energy to the Scenic Stage for an unmissable summer event.
Since their 2007 debut, A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation, The Wombats trio Matthew “Murph” Murphy, Tord Øverland Knudsen, and Dan Haggis, have remained indie rock staples, amassing 2.5 billion streams. With chart-topping albums like The Modern Glitch and Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life, they’ve grown from festival favourites to arena headliners. Their 2022 album Fix Yourself, Not the World hit number 1 in the UK, and their Reading 2024 set proved their enduring appeal. Murph’s candid songwriting tackles anxiety, addiction, and life in LA, while their evolving sound blends indie rock with electro, disco, and hip-hop influences. Their sixth studio album Oh! The Ocean was released earlier this month to critical acclaim and Top 5 UK chart placement.
Razorlight were at the forefront of the early 2000s indie-rock revival, delivering hits like America and Wire to Wire. Their success brought three Top 5 albums, nine Platinum certifications, and an NME Award. After reuniting in 2021, the classic lineup, Johnny Borrell, Björn Ågren, Carl Dalemo, and Andy Burrows, sold out a headline tour. Celebrating their legacy, they released Razorwhat? The Best of Razorlight and a 20th-anniversary edition of Up All Night. Razorlight remain a defining force in indie rock. In January 2025, the band released a mini documentary titled Fall To Pieces which dives deep into the story of the band’s early success, their split, and their first reunion after 11 years.
